This program offers a choice of first aid, CPR and AED courses to meet the various training needs of a diverse audience.

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course is to teach professional rescuers (i.e., those with a duty to act) the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a person experiencing cardiac arrest.
The intended audience for the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course includes members of emergency response teams, such as lifeguards, public safety personnel, medical personnel and other employees with a duty to respond.

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Emergency Medical Response course is to provide the participant with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as an emergency medical responder (EMR) to help sustain life, reduce pain and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until more advanced medical personnel take over. This course meets or exceeds National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards Emergency Medical Responder Instructional Guidelines.
